I joined the STARband team in 2010 after going on extensive training in America for the treatment of plagiocephaly using STARband cranial remoulding orthoses. It is such a fantastic environment to work in using the latest technology this treatment has to offer and getting to know the families along the way, we get great satisfaction from seeing the baby develop and their head shape improve.
Qualifying in Prosthetics and Orthotics in 2008 from Salford University, I have been employed by RSL steeper since Qualification. Since this time I have mainly focused on paediatric orthotics, working in the community and the acute hospital service for Leeds Teaching Hospital Trust and now Mid-Yorkshire hospitals where I am Principal Orthotist to a team of 10 orthotists.
I have Specialised in treating children with neuromuscular and orthopaedic conditions, treating patients using multiple scanning technologies and traditional methods. Within my role in Leeds I am responsible for training Strathclyde and Salford undergraduates, ensuring they pass their final exams, via practical clinical development.
I am HPC registered and a member of the British Association of Prosthetics and Orthotics
This year I am getting married in Las Vegas to my wonderful fiancée Patita, who also happens to be an orthotist
